I'm so glad that you started this group. We share our faith as well as homeschooling and EFT. I haven't had any experience with RET and look forward to learning more about it. Many of the alternative therapists in my area are also not Christian and some are into various new age philosophies. It'll be great to share ideas and resources with other Christians.

Thanks for the group!

I am a Hypnotherapist, NLP Prac, MBTi Consulatant, Labyrinth Facilitator, and recently trainined in RET and have gaine Mastr Level. I have also trained in Spritual Direction (Christian Tradition) and lead Quiet days and retreats.

I am just becoming comfortable with the fact (I beleive) the Lord is leading me in this new, interesting but on the edge (as far as my religion is concerned but not my faith) way. I know I am not really looked upon favourably within my church as the therapies I am involved in appear to seem to them......new age......and to be totaly honest a year or so ago I would have agreed but I beleive the Lord has led me on in this way so I am delighted to have found this group.

I wouod like to think this group would be a place of discussion but aceptance, a sharing of skills tools and faith!

Hello Everyone

I am so happy to finally find a group like this and I am proud to be a part of it. I am 25 years old working on becoming the youngest certified hypnotist in Columbus, Georgia. I feel as if becoming a hypnotist is my calling from god, but it has been very hard for me. I don't have too many people who support me down here with my training to become a hypnotist.

Another thing is that I also have these little doubts in the back of mind because I am a christian and want to do right the best I can. While hypnosis is a powerful tool to help people the other sides of hypnosis such as past life, meta physical and other things make me wonder. I really feel in my heart and mind that god is leading me ddown this path so I can help people. It just is really nice to have a group like this and look forward to discussion ideas with all of you.

I wasn't quite sure how to post a topic onto this forum. so i was wondering if you can tell me whether we are allowed to post a topic? I clicked the "Start a topic" link and nothing happend.
I am very happy to be part of this group. I am not trained as a hypnotherapist or a stage hypnotist. I am more interested in How and why trance is used in the christian churches? I have experienced strange phenomena in churches of the charasmatic/pentecostal sort. and wondered what peoples views on that were. It concerns me that they know they are using similar techniques but not actually acknowleging it as hypnosis.

Why are they apprehensive as it is a very natural state? would be interested on your views.
